Nico Graz wird 1995 in Kelheim geboren und erhielt schon sehr früh Akkordeon-Unterricht. Im Alter von 10 Jahren lernt er das Klavier Spiel. Er bereiste bereits in seiner Kindheit zahlreiche Wettbewerbe, wurde u. a. Preis- träger des deutschen Akkordeon Musikpreises und konzertierte anschließend Europaweit. In den Jahren 2011 bis 2014 absolvierte er sein erstes Musikstudium mit künstlerischem Zusatzjahr im Hauptfach Konzert-Akkordeon. Dabei entdeckt er seine Liebe für die Improvisation und dem Saxophon. Er besuchte anschließend das Music College Regensburg im Hauptfach Saxophon. Danach folgte ein Jazz-Studium an der Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg im Hauptfach Saxophon, das er mit Auszeichnung abschloss. Im Jahr 2023 erlernt er noch das Bandoneon Spiel bei Hugo Satorre (Buenos Aires). Durch die Ausbildungen in den Genres Klassik und Jazz gelingt es ihm, aus beiden Welten zu profitieren und die jeweilige Musik in neuem Gewand erklingen zu lassen. Sein Profil macht ihn zu einem Multinstrumenalisten, der in diversen Projekten von Klassik über Weltmusik bis zu modernem Jazz konzertiert und dabei auf eine große klangliche Vielfalt zurückgreift.

Nico Graz was born in 1995 in Kelheim and began accordion lessons at a very early age. By the age of 10, he started learning to play the piano. During his childhood, he participated in numerous competitions, notably winning the German Accordion Music Prize, and subsequently performed concerts throughout Europe. From 2011 to 2014, he completed his first music degree with an artistic additional year, majoring in concert accordion. During this time, he discovered his passion for improvisation and the saxophone. He then attended the Music College Regensburg, majoring in saxophone. Following that, he pursued jazz studies at the University of Music in Würzburg, also focusing on saxophone, which he completed with distinction. In 2023, he added bandoneon studies under Hugo Satorre in Buenos Aires. His education in both classical and jazz genres allows him to draw from both worlds and reinterpret their music with a fresh perspective. His versatile profile makes him a multi-instrumentalist who performs in various projects ranging from classical music and world music to modern jazz, drawing on a wide range of tonal colors.
